Is it just me, or is the axecop.com homepage very annoying to view the actual comic? It’s filled with junk at both top and bottom, leaving me a narrow strip in which to actually look at the thing I came to look at:

Does this bother anyone else? I’ve been just opening the comic image in its own window.

If you click on the image, it takes you to a page of just the comic itself, full sized. I think Ethan said he is working on a new version of the homepage that would look a bit better. Give him time, he isn’t exactly a web comic guy

Well, ok TheAnswer42. But since you have contributed almost a quarter of all the forum topics/posts that exist…. Mostly I just am calling people by names that are not their names. I suppose you’ll all have to put up with it.

Maybe we should have an official complaints/suggestions thread? Or at least a thread devoted to website stuff rather than content stuff per se. At the moment related things seem to be scattered throughout a number of forum posts or comment threads on blog entries, etc. It wouldn’t have to be complaints or suggestions, it could just be everyone talking about how everything is great.

Yeah yeah, I post a lot. But no one else is, so I guess I am the unofficial forum guy, haha.

There should be a suggestions forum. Of course, to counter act this, there could also be a “keep on keepin’ on” forum.

Regarding the emoticons… I say someone with some spriting savvy should make Axe Cop smileys.

The smilies should be axe cop related, I think. That would be awesome.

you should have seen it a few weeks ago, it was atrocious. you had to, like, move the mouse around the little box to scroll all over the comic.

It was like looking at it through a peep hole, or with a microscope, or a telescpoe, or binoculars, or…. basically you could only see one part at a time is what I’m saying.

I’m actually trying to contribute as much as Answer Man, but I’m just not able to. He must have a talent for contributing a lot. ANYWAY, I don’t see anything wrong with these smilies now.

I contribute as much as I can. I really want this thing to live, and I want to be a part of it, if not directly, then at least in the forums.

As for the smilies, I just don’t care for the face styles. They are too over the top. When I do a I usually and signifying a joke, but this one ( :p ) just looks like a clown.

We’re reworking the home page so there won’t even be a page there.  We want Ask Axe Cop episode to get the same prominence.. the new layout will just have links to the latest of each episode and will be much cleaner.

Naw, because your name is better. I’m just the kind of gal who calls people names that aren’t their names. I’d probably call Flute Cop “Flute Guy” and RadiantBurrito “Beansy” and Chris, umm… “Navyface” or something, WHO EVEN KNOWS!?! It’s mostly hilarious coincidence that you actually have answers to things. Plus Answer Man was shorter than life/universe/everything? :p (LOWERCASEP!)
