Considering I was telling my parents about Axe Cop so much the last few days…

What do your parents/siblings/significant others/whatever think of the comic? Do they know about it? Do they like it? Today, my parents were kind of weirded out about my latest obsession over it, but later I was listening to the Chop! podcast while reading along, and when I showed my dad the sequence with the introduction of Vampire Man Baby Kid, he just lost it.

My dad even says that I should do something like Axe Cop with my (currently 3-year-old) cousin when he gets older. Now I feel obliged to do that.

So what about you? Have you showed your family members Axe Cop, and if so, what are their thoughts?

I have told my mom and my brother about it, not really any reactions they’re kinda weirded out by it. My brother read it for a while but i don’t know what happened, his favorite character is dinosaur soldier. I also told my best friend about it he reads it a lot too but not as much as me,he will go to the site a few times a week to catch up on the story and he listens to chop-cast too now and he found tyrannitilion hilarious.

I showed my dad once, and at the time, he thought it was hilarious genius, but he’s probably forgotten about it already by now. raspberry That’s my dad for ya.

I showed my younger brother (9) and he loved it.  He loved it so much that he and I have started writing our own Axe Cop-like adventures.  I highly doubt we’ll ever make a famous webcomic out of it, though.  I recommended it to my older brother who is in his 20’s, and he never really looked into it as far as I know.  I showed it to my parents and my Mom doesn’t care about it one way or another, but my Dad thinks that it’s mindless blood and gore and that Malachai is a disturbed little boy.  I have tried to explain, but when my Dad makes a decision about whether something is right or not, even if he realizes that he’s wrong, he still thinks he’s right.  He refuses to accept the fact that he himself once was a child and pretended to sever people’s body parts when he was six.  Either way, I love it.

My friends love it but my parents think I’m just wasting my time. Then again, my parents are pretty freaking conservative lol
