Hey Answer and Sparrow,
I learned tonight that some of the Spambots on this forum have their IP address set to the IP address of the Axe Cop web site… so when I banned the SPAM bot’s IP address, I banned the site from itself.  Basically… don’t ban IP addresses for now, just members, if you ever have to.

Poor AxeCop.com… Caught up in the crossfire. It was so innocent, so blameless… *weeps*

All users have the same IP Address I’ve found, it’s not just the spammers.  I’m looking into why this is so.  Like Ethan said just delete those users for now.  Thank you so much!

Bah, Anthony I was about to post the same thing!!

I just looked through a bunch of the forums and sometime between 2:15pm July 26 and 8:20am July 27 all user IPs became the same.

Also what’s with “raspberry” seemingly randomly implanted in numerous posts? When I’ve just searched for the term it tells me there are no search results, (which should not be true) and so I can’t give you a better idea of a timeline for that, or let you know how widespread it is.

You are now able to once again ban spammers if they do not have the IP:  216.14.112.124.  So let them have it!

It’s a combo of our site hosts and google. They are the ones that fix things.  Oh and this iPad.  Just kidding, this thing just surfs the web.
