YES! Finally, the PS3 gets a good beat ‘em up!

Anyway, I’m really worried about the movie, Michael Cera’s voice makes my skin crawl (it’s so unnaturally high!), and the trailers make it seem like a slightly more awesome version of Degrassi or some other lame drama.
Also, i bought the final book a few days ago, and i can’t decide weather to read it before i’m going to bead, or read it when i’m at the beach next week. Ugghhh, it’s eating away at my bran cells! D:

Micheal Cera is so shy and awkward in his movies they should of casted a different person he isn’t a bad actor its just that this isn’t the role for him,as for the book dilemma read half at home and the other half at the beach and if you cant handle reading half and half because its too interesting then i suggest you reading it on the beach

Well, i agree the he’s not a bad actor, and i actually like how awkward is (it fits the character well) it’s just.. his voice…

and that book idea is pretty good, i’ll do that

I notice some of the trailers make it seem like some sort of teen drama more than what it actually is, but I think it’s more of a joke. I don’t recall Degrassi/whatever having fights, comic book visuals, etc.

Yeah, i suppose, but still, i hate that they’re making it *look* like a teen drama to get a certain demographic of tween girls. Ah well, i’m sure the movie will be fantastic.

i actually thought it was a teen drama when the first commercial came out, my cousin showed me the video and said it was going to be awesome the first few seconds i thought oh Micheal Cera falls in love with a girl how original :scorn: then i saw the action and thought oh my god this is awesome :D

I love how the first trailer deliberately makes it look like an indie teen love story, then crushes it.

Yeah, that was a good trailer. I was devastated at the beginning, but then i was like “Redemption!”

Back from the beach, and i finally got around to reading the last book. I’m not ashamed to say that i nearly cried at the end, it’s just that good.

Oh also, it supplanted His Dark Materials as my favorite book series.

I guess my views on the movie as sort of obvious by now. At the recommedation of citrus, I picked up the first two books, and I like them a lot.

Yeah, the books are much more reliant on romance than they are on action or comedy. Not to mention that they have much more time to flesh out all the characters, making certain characters (Ramona, Kim, Envy) more likeable.
